What we can do

Utopia Designs Inc. is a full service design and manufacturing company of retail fixtures, interiors and furnishings. We specialize in various species of salvaged woods and Steel fabrication. Our facilities are comprised of a 35,000 sq ft. production facility, which includes a state-of-the-art steel fabrication shop, fully equipped woodworking shop, packaging facility as well as an adjacent 10,000 square foot custom cabinetry shop. In addition we have a furniture gallery located in Portland, Maine. This shop includes custom home/office furnishings built and designed by Utopia. It also includes our design/development offices which focuses on all aspects of the design process including CAD/shop drawings, project management and communications. We currently fluctuate between 30 and 60 employees.

What we have

Utopia's services range from the early stages of design and development through to construction and production and finishing with packaging, shipping and installation. We offer a limited Warranty on all of our products.

Where we are going

Our shops utilize green and recycled materials whenever possible. Our plywood is Forest Steward Council (FSC) certified, our wood selection is strictly salvaged, our steels are recycled, salvaged and repurposed. Our finishes range from low VOC lacquers to non-toxic environmentally safe polyurethanes, waxes and oils. Several of our projects have been LEED certified.
